Boswellia Serrata
Anti-Inflammatory Botanical
What it is
Boswellia serrata's resin — commonly known as frankincense — has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. Modern research has identified the specific active compounds responsible: boswellic acids, particularly AKBA (acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid).
What it does
AKBA selectively inhibits 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) — the enzyme responsible for synthesizing leukotrienes, a class of potent pro-inflammatory molecules. Unlike NSAIDs, Boswellia does not inhibit COX enzymes and therefore does not carry the same gastrointestinal risks.

BioPerine® (Black Pepper Extract)
Absorption Enhancer
What it is
BioPerine® is a patented, standardized extract of black pepper concentrated to 90% piperine — the bioactive alkaloid responsible for absorption-enhancing properties.
What it does
Piperine inhibits intestinal and hepatic enzymes and efflux transporters that would otherwise break down or expel certain nutrients before absorption. The most published example is a 2000% increase in curcumin bioavailability when combined with piperine.
